I agree with your friend Tony AFX,<br />we have not always been the guys with the 'white hats' (reference: Gil-Scott Heron)in other countries. Taking away grand titles not only does that, but also allows us an easier point of thought that allows us to heal and grow and carry on as best we can. Words do have the power to change thought.tiaramesuehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10037370513148227863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6418804066273923689.post-76884171983619742872013-04-20T18:31:12.097-04:002013-04-20T18:31:12.097-04:00Thank you, Tony. One good thing about lessening the power in words is in the fact that it makes it easier to talk to children about it, without instilling extreme fear. And along with that, schools are now taking action against bullying, and teaching about bullying. The young children exposed to that teaching have an opportunity to grow up creating a world for themselves where bullying/terrorism occurs less and less. And the ripples will spread.tiaramesuehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10037370513148227863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6418804066273923689.post-40036353002390654622013-04-20T17:49:45.619-04:002013-04-20T17:49:45.619-04:00I think bully is a weak term for them....they inf...I think bully is a weak term for them....they inflicted terror, and killed and disfigured dozens...they ARE terrorists in my bookAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15236968926896099816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6418804066273923689.post-66585312748558674562013-04-20T16:54:26.688-04:002013-04-20T16:54:26.688-04:00I know for a fact that words have power. So yes, we should use the word bully or bullies instead. But, we should also take into consideration that just like these people are attempting to bully us, our country attempts to bully other countries as well. We, as a people, should do our best to break the cycle so that the healing can begin abroad.Tony AFXhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14830827465581584815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6418804066273923689.post-80248325140693573612013-04-20T16:42:17.239-04:002013-04-20T16:42:17.239-04:00:):)tiaramesuehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10037370513148227863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6418804066273923689.post-59303889517850051042013-04-20T16:33:17.185-04:002013-04-20T16:33:17.185-04:00calling them bullies makes it maybe a teensy bit e...calling them bullies makes it maybe a teensy bit easier to contemplate how young people--teenagers, even--are capable of carrying out such horrid acts. yeah, let's call them bullies.Marianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07027954226798117530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6418804066273923689.post-19235985406625739542013-04-20T16:13:59.808-04:002013-04-20T16:13:59.808-04:00We dreamers have to stand together! <3We dreamers have to stand together! <3tiaramesuehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10037370513148227863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6418804066273923689.post-31634529982225178542013-04-20T16:13:04.909-04:002013-04-20T16:13:04.909-04:00And YOU inspire ME!And YOU inspire ME!tiaramesuehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10037370513148227863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6418804066273923689.post-23784729319262501062013-04-20T15:58:39.427-04:002013-04-20T15:58:39.427-04:00"...and be laughed off the Internet. .."..."...and be laughed off the Internet. .." lol I'm a dreamer too but sometimes to my own detriment. I've said this about condescension ... no one can look down on me unless I choose to place them above me. By the same token, no one can terrorize us unless we choose to hand them our peace of mind on a platter ... and we don't! Well said, and I'm so glad you are blogging!
